Slateford Road was closed for a period this afternoon after a fire broke out on the number 35 Lothian bus at around 4pm.
Firefighters attended the scene near the junction of Moat Place and extinguished the fire.
The driver and passengers had all left the vehicle by that time.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area due to disruption.
