Police are following a positive line of inquiry after two men were injured in a large-scale disturbance involving  a dozen young men and women outside a property in McLeod Street in Broxburn around 4.30am on Saturday.

The victims who are aged 21 and 22, were  taken to hospital for treatment but were later discharged.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.

Detective Sergeant Graham Garvie said: “We are currently following a positive line of inquiry however a visible police presence will remain in the local area as we continue to investigate this disturbance.

“As part of this inquiry officers will be conducting door-to-door and reviewing the local CCTV network.
