The Royal Highland Show 2016 opened with a warm, largely sunny day on Thursday.

Take a bus to the show. The number 98 is the best way to get to Ingliston. Board the bus outside The Dome and arrive just outside the west gate at the Showground.

Last year over 188,000 people visited the event over the weekend.  Lothian Buses urge you to avoid the traffic and parking hassles and get there on their  Special Service 98 bus.

“This year, for the first time, three of the fleet will have cow inspired horns installed to add some authentic bovine atmosphere to the journey.  We are making the experience of getting there by bus even better this year by using 25 of our environmentally-friendly hybrids to operate this service.  This change will save around 6 tonnes of CO2, 99% of nitrous oxides and 80% of particulates compared to using more conventional buses helping to reduce the environmental impact of show travel.”
