A Sam Stanton hat-trick helped the Hibs under-20s beat Rangers 4-1 at Ainslie Park last night.
The game was new Under 20s Development Coach Joe McBride’s first game in charge, and after a goalless first half, the home side fell behind to a Ryan Hardie effort Hibs equalised with a fine lob from Stanton.
Three minutes later midfielder who has been on the first team bench for the last few games added a second from 12 yards to give his side the lead before Alex Harris made it 3-1 with five minutes remaining.
Just before the final whistle Stanton completed his hat-trick, after rounding Robinson in the Rangers goal and tapping in from close-range to seal a well deserved win.
