Owing to earlier over-running engineering works between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street Scotrail report that train services running to and from these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be delayed at short notice. But there is also another reason for delays as there are train drivers who are not working Sunday shifts.
Disruption is expected until 10:45 this morning.
The 09.30 from Queen St to Edinburgh has been delayed.
Alternative transport is in place at Edinburgh, Falkirk High and at Queen St to supplement train services. Alternative transport will arrive at Croy at 09.45 and also at Falkirk Grahamston at 09.50.
The Twitterati have been complaining so whoever runs the Scotrail twitter feed must be keeping busy today, particularly as many of the runners heading for the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow are now going to be late…..
Good luck 2 all in @GreatScotRun Pls allow xtra time2travel if ur routes affected by some drivers not working Sundays http://t.co/nmXJZzJyRs
