A large part of the LGBT community turned out for the Pride Scotia event at the weekend, and even some heavy showers failed to dampen good spirits amongst the crowd.
Many of the bystanders had their cameras out taking pictures of this colourful event along the parade route from the City Chambers to Picardy Place (via the Parliament). Demonstrators against the parade and LGBT matters were notable by their absence.
The theme of the parade was Marriage Equality.
The next pride parade will be in Glasgow on Saturday 14th July 2012.
