Jim Lowrie is the LibDem candidate for Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart Ward.
Jim has been a Councillor since 1999 representing Davidson’s Mains and latterly Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart Wards.
Previously he taught Physics in Boroughmuir High School then in Telford College. For 10 years, before taking early retirement from the College, he was a School Liaison Officer and Careers Advisor for pupils and students.
He is currently Convener of Planning and takes a great interest in the built environment. He is married with three grown up children and six grandchildren.
He was born and brought up in Edinburgh and has always lived and worked in the city.
