The Laird and Dog Inn near Edinburgh is hosting a free day out for all the family to enjoy this weekend. The fun filled ‘Family Fun Day’ is taking place on Sunday 12 February 2012 when there will be something for everyone to enjoy from learning how to juggle, face painting and of course enjoying the delicious food on offer.
The event is free and fun begins at 1pm. Children will be treated to complimentary face painting, fun & games with magician ‘Jester’ and can get creative and make Valentine cards.
In between the magic tricks and arts and crafts, guests who are feeling peckish can purchase food from the lunch menu and kids eat free with every adult meal purchased. The delicious dishes include ‘Chorizo and Spinach Penne served in a lightly spiced cream tomato sauce served with garlic bread’, ‘King Prawn & Pepper Skewers served on a bed of coriander and lime rice with sweet chilli dressing on the side’.
For a lighter bite diners can choose from fresh sandwiches and wraps with a choice of tasty fillings including ‘Sweet Chilli Chicken and Peppers’, ‘Chicken and Mushroom Pate and Red Onion Chutney’ and ‘Smoked Salmon and Lime Mayonnaise’; all served with salad garnish and coleslaw.
Alex Murphy Manager of the Laird and Dog Inn said: “Our family days out are always popular with locals and visitors to the area. I would ask everyone to come along and join in the fun – it’s the perfect way to spend time with the family.”
