Three students from Edinburgh’s Telford College have danced their way to success by landing coveted places at the UK’s leading commercial dance agency.

Lisa Ritchie, Natalie Murray and Joanne Allison who all studied dance at Performing Arts Studio Scotland (PASS) at Edinburgh’s Telford College, undertook gruelling auditions for places at London based Rudeye dance agency.

All three dancers impressed choreographer and agency director Stuart Bishop during every stage of the audition process, which was hosted at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange.

Edinburgh’s Telford College has been home to many students who have gone on to successful careers in performing arts, including Karen Gillan, star of BBC One’s Doctor Who, who studied at the college before going on to have a successful career on television.

Chris Kidd, Lecturer on PASS at Edinburgh’s Telford College said: “We are delighted that three of our dance students have managed to secure places with the number one dance agency in the country.

“PASS is a superb training institution for those wishing to pursue a career in performing arts. Our modern specifically designed theatre and rehearsal studios are the idea place for students to learn and showcase their talents to fellow learners and the public.

“We have a strong history of students going on to work professionally, but to have three students already with a top agent three months before they graduate is exceptional and extremely humbling.

“All three have worked exceptionally hard over the last few months perfecting their technique which has resulted in them delivering an industry level performance and the placements are fully deserved.”

“All the staff at PASS are extremely happy for them and we look forward to more students following suit.”

PASS is one of Scotland’s largest training providers in the performing arts. Located in Scotland’s fourth largest college in North Edinburgh, the performing arts studio Scotland (PASS) is a superb training institution for those wishing to pursue a career in the performing arts.
