There are road works all over the city centre, but these ones on George IV Bridge  seem to keep disappearing and reappearing! It makes it a little tricky to get into the Central Library, but not impossible. It is still one of our favourite places to sit and write.  We really like the Tales of One City blog as well which has a range of articles each day from telling us that the library catalogue is temporarily unavailable to more in-depth pieces about books and their authors, and also what is on at the library near you.

Tonight the Drylaw/Telford Community Council meet at the Drylaw Community Centre.

More stuff about books… The Edinburgh Gliterary Lunch takes place at The Balmoral Hotel on 1 December 2011 when the authors featured will be Julie Myerson author of Then and Jane Harris who has just completed her second book Gillespie and I.

The ice rink in Princes Street Gardens might yet be saved if the council steps in. STV reported this story last night on their 6 o’clock news.
