Stevenson College Edinburgh is accepting applications for its HN Allied Health: Physiotherapy Support course, aimed at improving the careers of health professionals.

Stevenson is the only college in Scotland currently offering this qualification, which begins on 5th March 2011. Places are limited to just 20 so early application is recommended.

The nationally recognised qualification aims to develop on the skills of employees working as Physiotherapy Support Workers and can act as a first step to a degree level course in physiotherapy.

Stevenson College Edinburgh is seeking those who are employed as support workers in the physiotherapy department of a hospital or in private practice with at least two years’ experience.

The two year course offers the flexible option of studying whilst remaining in your current role. It will have at least three residential weeks per year at the college.

The first two year course was completed in June 2011 and boasted a 100 per cent pass rate.

Sarah Austin, Head of Health Care, said:- “Stevenson College Edinburgh is proud to be the only college in Scotland to offer the HN Physiotherapy Support course.

“Developed in partnership with education providers, employers, professional bodies, the NHS and clinical managers, the HNC aims to support workforce development in the NHS and private practice.

“The next course starts on 5th March 2012 and with only 20 places available we recommend you apply as soon as possible.”
