We told you about the Jungle City animals who are taking up their positions around the city in anticipation of the charity auction at the Museum later this month. If you want to know exactly where they are then you can have a look at the map on The Jungle City website, download it to have a look at or listen to the audio guide which they have there too.

Congratulations to Edinburgh author, Nicola Morgan, who is shortlisted for the Scottish Children’s Book Awards.  A prolific author with more than 90 books to her name. But we saw her at the Edinburgh International Book Festival with a dinky little video camera making a wee film…..We will be interested to see the results!

Edinburgh Rugby has signed up with property marketing body ESPC who will offer them marketing support through their extensive contacts. Edinburgh Rugby continue their competitive campaign in the RaboDirect PRO12 against Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 6.30pm, live on BBC ALBA) before the club returns home to face Connacht at Murrayfield the following weekend when our own John Preece will be there to capture the essence of the action.

But the ESPC have elsewhere reported the rather depressing news that house prices in the capital have dropped over the summer owing to lack of buyer interest, according to an article in The Scotsman.

And now that we have got the Festival over we are told by the Festival organisers to look forward to  Shakespeare next year as the focal point of next year’s programme. So you could start reading now in readiness.
