Some important points arising on the agenda :-

Registered Social Landlords require £21m in order to finance the delivery of 200 affordable new homes. Committee approval is sought to borrow through Prudential Borrowing.

Refurbishment of the Royal Commonwealth Pool is still underway with the re-opening scheduled for early spring 2012. Asbestos removal has been completed and new facilities include a re-orientated 25 metre diving pool.

Due to the systems and data verification work for Modernising Pay, over 15,000 staff records were successfully transferred and from April 2011 all staff will be enrolled in monthly pay.

Terms of the 3 year sub-lease of 10-14 Manor Place from Creative Scotland include the Council paying rent of £184,000 per annum. The council will receive £100,000 from Creative Scotland for costs incurred as a direct result of taking on the premises.
