The Show

Supported by his new quartet he presents a relaxed evening of cool crooning imbued with characteristic warmth and humour.

This is the third successive year that McMurdo will take time out of his schedule performing for corporate & private events, theatres and festivals worldwide to return to his favourite gastro pub in the UK to “…have some fun and just sing jazz !…” He also points out that ”… this will be the only time and place this year you’ll be able to see me perform for free anywhere on the planet!…”

Dubbed “…smoother than Harry Connick Jnr…” by London’s Guardian newspaper Craig McMurdo is renowned as one of the UK’s finest jazz vocalists. With over 25 years under his belt as a professional entertainer he has paid his dues, learned his trade and honed his skills in countless theatres, festivals, jazz clubs, television and radio appearances in the UK and worldwide. Hailed as “…a one man Rat Pack…” by London’s Evening Standard he has distilled to the pure essence the finest qualities of those hallowed heroes, humour, style and music and injected his own unique character, personality and interpretation.

Originally making his name in the field of Jazz and Swing, with countless television, radio, festival and theatre appearances both in the UK and world wide, he has released six albums to date and over the years has developed his voice to encompass a remarkable range of styles from Rat Pack to rock n roll, pop to classic soul.

Career highlights include appearing at the Royal Albert Hall for Dianna Princess of Wales, performing the inaugural shows for the Madinat Theatre, Dubai, as well as performing the opening ceremonies of the European Special Olympics to a live crowd of 32,000 and an a television audience of millions across 28 countries – and being kissed by Andrea Corr during a gig in Dublin.
