Guests at The Chester Residence will now be able to buy one-off couture hats made by milliner to royalty and the stars Yvette Jelfs – in time for the Royal Wedding being held in Edinburgh in July.
The two high-end brands are working together on this new service which is exclusive to The Chester Residence, a selection of five star designer townhouse apartments in Edinburgh’s West End recently named one of the top 25 hotels in Europe.
Yvette Jelfs, who has a workshop in Lilliesleaf in the Borders and a shop in London, has made hats for clients from royalty and VIPs to pop stars. And with people travelling from across the world for the royal wedding of Zara Phillips and rugby international Mike Tindall in the city on 30 July, Yvette’s hats will be the hot fashion item to be seen in.
Yvette says: “Guests will be able to pre-order couture hats in time for the Royal Wedding, or indeed any special occasion they’re attending while in Edinburgh. We will visit guests in their apartments for fitting and to discuss their requirements, and the beauty is that every hat I design is a one-off so they can be safe in the knowledge they won’t see anyone else wearing the same hat.”
Rory MacAleece, The Chester Residence GM, says: “We strive to provide our guests with not only a luxurious stay with us but something a little different, so we’re delighted to be working with Yvette in providing this exclusive service.”
Guests are now being contacted to inform them of the new service, with hats available from £300 – £600, and can liaise with Yvette directly via her website.
