Boy band sensation Boyzone has today announced an exclusive outdoor summer concert in Edinburgh on Saturday 6th August.
The band, which has sold over 15 million records, has had six number one hits and has just finished its sell-out Brother tour, will be joined by special guests The Saturdays for the gig at Hopetoun House, the five-star country house and parkland venue on the outskirts of the city.
The show, commissioned by Scottish concert and events promoter CK Events, will see 12,000 fans come together to see Keith, Mikey, Ronan and Shane entertain their Scottish fans with hits from their new album ‘Gave It All Away’ and ‘Stronger’ and old favourites including ‘No Matter What’ and ‘Baby Can I Hold You’.
This event is the first collaboration between CK Events and Hopetoun House since signing a five-year contract in December to bring major music concerts to Edinburgh.
The Saturdays, the UK’s biggest girl band, will open proceedings with a selection of their top ten hits including ‘Higher’ and ‘Missing You’.
Making the announcement, Ronan said:
“We always enjoy coming to Scotland as the fans always give us such a great reception. We can’t wait for these summer dates as we’ll be performing some of our classic hits as well as great tracks from the new album, in these amazing venues and with some cracking support acts. You really don’t want to miss out so come and join us.”

My daughter and i were at the boyzone concert on sat 6th aug,we and everyone who were hospitality did not get priority front stage position,we would have thought having paid 125.00 per ticket that we would have had a decent position in front of the stage, instead of that we were the hospitality fans were put into which i can only describe as a pen which was situated adjacent to the stage and back, the fans who bought the cheaper tickets were up front of the stage surely we should have been where the cheaper tickets were.It was a let down for all the hospitality fans,i for one will not be going back to hopetoun house to be lead into what was like a pen very embarrassing indeed. The only good thing was that the saturdays were good and boyzone were fantastic just a shame we didnt get to see them all up front to the stage. Who ever organised this event has let a lot of fans down and we should get our money back, will be interesting to hear from all the other hospitality fans that were there that night.
