Firefighters and police are at the scene of a fatal fire in Edinburgh this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire in Chalmers Crescent in the Grange area of the city at 8.20am.
On arrival, they found the ground floor flat of the property alight. A female was rescued from the building and given medical attention at the scene before being taken by ambulance to hospital. A man was found dead at the property.
Police and fire officers are now carrying out investigations to establish the cause of the blaze.
