On Thursday 2nd December the Best Western Edinburgh Capital Hall will come alive with seasonal spirit as it hosts a Christmas Fair in aid of one of the UK’s leading women’s health research charities, Wellbeing of Women.

The fair is a wonderful Christmas shopping opportunity, with luxury products on offer and stalls selling unique gifts. As well as a wide selection of stalls there will be a champagne bar, so that shoppers can treat themselves too. Visitors are also welcome to dine at the hotel’s beautiful dining hall.

10% of the money raised on each stall will be donated to Wellbeing of Women.

Wellbeing of  Women is a charity recognised for funding medical research of the highest calibre, including projects currently being funded in Scotland. Projects such as research into Ectopic pregnancy which is being carried out at Edinburgh University and Moredun Research Institute by Dr Andrew Horn, a project on post natal depression at the University of Dundee by Dr Delia Belleli and also a project on obesity in pregnancy by Dr Eleanor M K Jarvie at University of Glasgow. Wellbeing of Women has also recently award four bursaries to students in Scotland.

This research has the potential to change women’s lives around the world for the better. Wellbeing of Women is committed to providing funding for research into the issues that affect the everyday lives of women.
