Lothian and Borders Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a man in the West of Edinburgh.
Officers responded to Saughton Park, near the junction with Fords Road at around 7.20am today after the male was found with serious injuries, which he succumbed to.
The death is being treated as suspicious.
Detective Inspector Stuart Houston said:- “Saughton Park is regularly used by dog walkers and various other members of the public
“We are keen to speak to those who were in or around the park area between 6.50am and 7.20am today, particularly around the entrance to Fords Road, and would ask them to contact police immediately.
“Similarly, anyone with any other information that can assist with our enquiries is also asked to come forward.”
High visibility patrols will be deployed in the local area to engage with members of the public and offer reassurance to the community.
Details of the man will not be released until next of kin have been informed.
