Hibs keeper Raphael Sallinger wants the team to reproduce the type of performance that secured an impressive result at Ibrox at the end of last season.
At the end of last season Dane Scarlett, scored in the 90th minute to secure a historic victory in Glasgow.
But he knows that the players need to be at their best against Derek McInnes’ side if we are to secure a positive result.
Speaking ahead of the game Sallinger said: “The last two games against Rangers were pretty good for us, so we are full of confidence because we won tonight (Thursday) and because of our performances in all of the last three games, which were very good and it’s really important to have a positive result and bring that the next game.
“I think there’s also a chance to win on Sunday at Ibrox.
“We want to focus on ourselves and trust our abilities, and I want to help the team always as much as I can.
“I think we should have won against Motherwell last weekend as well, because we were the better side in that game.
“I think tonight we created a lot of chances and could have scored three or four goals, but at the moment it’s not easy to score, but as I said in the end we found a way to win the game.
“The good thing is we were way on top of the whole game, and we are creating a lot of chances, and I’m sure if we keep going like this, then we will score more goals.
“I think both games last season were a bit different.
“When we look back at the Rangers game at Ibrox, I think we were a bit lucky in the first half because the Rangers created a lot of chances, but in the end, we knew that we had to win this game because we wanted to finish fourth in the league.
“So, once again we will have to defend our box well and keep it open as long as we can, and we will have to take the chances we get and hopefully we can do that.”
