Goalkeeper Liam McFarlane, who is currently on loan at Partick Thistle, has signed a contract extension with Hearts until the summer of 2029.
The 21-year-old has been involved in previous loan spells at East Fife and Alloa Athletic and he gained valuable experience at the World Cup, travelling with the Scotland squad as a training goalkeeper.
Highly-rated McFarlane has kept clean sheets in Thistle’s opening two Championship matches so far this season, against Greenock Morton and Livingston.
And the Hearts Academy graduate is expected to be a key player as Thistle manager Mark Wilson looks to guide his men into the William Hill Premiership.
McFarlane has already been capped for Scotland at youth level and has now put pen-to-paper on a contract extension which will see him remain at Tynecastle Park until 2029.
