Wullie Ruffle won The Dalmeny Masters and a Green Jacket for the seventh time at the weekend.
The Bo’ness-based player beat 47 other participants, and eight former winners, to top the podium.
One competitor joked: “Wullie Ruffle wins his seventh Green Jacket and now overtakes Jack Nicklaus who is on six.
Rory McIlroy now needs eight for the record.”
The greens were running fast on match day and pin positions were testing.
This was reflected in the scoring as 63 was the highest winning score ever
Incidentally, Ruffle’s first Green Jacket win was in 1994 with a score of 61.
