A special collaboration took place on Saturday between Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for Dance and Belgium’s Detours Festival, a world-leading urban arts festival.
All Styles Street Battle is an open access, free dance battle. It is the first time Detours has run a qualifier for their world-wide street battles in the UK.
Audiences were able to catch styles like Breakin’, Contemporary, Afro, Popping, Locking, Irish or even Tap. The panel of local and international judges was joined by the audience to decide the winner.
Winner Wesley from HK Soul received a cash prize and a spot in the Detours World Final in Brussels this October.
