Livingston have confirmed that Lewis Smith has joined Aberdeen on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old arrived at Almondvale from Hamilton Academical and established himself as a key member of the squad and his pace and energy helped the Lions secure a slot back in the William Hill Premiership.
David Martindale, the Livingston’s sporting director, said: “We signed Lewis on a pre-contract when he was with Hamilton in League One and that is a strategy we would obviously like to continue.”
Martindale said the club were in a good place at the moment and hope to announce a replacement soon.
He added: “I would like to thank Aberdeen for the way they have conducted this transfer and we wish Lewis the very best for the future.”
