Hearts have confirmed the signing of two new players only days before they squad head for Spain for warm weather training as the Premiership runners-up build for next season.
Forward Sabri Guendouz joins from Beerschot who finished third in the Belgian second tier last term, just missing out on promotion, and central midfielder Tom Renaud arrives from French side Versailles who finished fifth in their league.
Guendouz has signed a deal until the summer of 2029 and arrives for an undisclosed fee.
Beerschot are the same club from which former captain, Lawrence Shankland, signed for Hearts and the newcomer admitted: “This is a big step in my small career, but I’m not scared.”
The 26-year-old told Hearts TV: “I am very confident with myself, my talent and my play.”
He hopes to settle in qualify ahead of the Jambos Champions League, third qualifying round, clash with Austrian combine, Sturm Graz, on July 21.
And he added: “I have a big objective of the qualification for the Champions League.”
Renauld joins on a four-year deal and he was a free agent after the end of his contract with Versailles who play in the third tier of French football.
He developed his game in the youth section of Lorient but failed to make a breakthrough into the first team. Two loan spells followed before signing a permanent deal with Cholet. He moved to Versailles in 2024.
