Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity (ECHC) has celebrated World Giraffe Day by creating feeding tubes for Edinburgh Zoo’s four giraffes.

The colourful tubes were created by the patients and includes drawings of other animals at the zoo.

ECHC and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) are regular partners, with the children enjoying the distraction that schemes like these bring.

Rangers from the RZSS visit the hospital on a weekly basis, bringing pictures of the animals and activities.

The tubes were designed with non-toxic paints and recycled cardboard which keeps the animals engaged and active.
