Around 2,000 Hibs fans are expected to make the journey to Dublin for Hibs pre-season friendly against Shamrock Rovers and, supporters should note the following information – including details on the fanzone, public transport and accessing the Stadium.
The match kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday 30 June at Tallaght Stadium and the club will have employees supporting as travel stewards in Dublin to help fans before and during the game.
Ahead of the friendly fixture against Shamrock Rovers, the Club will be taking over ‘Buskers on the Ball’, located on Fleet Street in the iconic Temple Bar area of Dublin.
Open from 2pm, supporters can expect live music, former player appearances, guest interviews and a range of other activities available.
Street food will be available to purchase, and a welcome drink is included as part of the fanzone entry fee – a pint of Guinness for over 18s and a soft drink for under 18s.
Tickets for the Fanzone have sold out, however, there will be a limited number of tickets on the door, so it is advised to arrive early if you want to secure a ticket.
Please note that ticket purchasers must enter the fanzone by 4pm.
Tallaght Stadium is accessible via public transport. Regular bus and Tram Luas run close to the stadium and the host club has provided the following advice.
The Red Luas Line to Tallaght will leave you a 5-minute walk from the away entrance of Gate 1.
The nearest tram stops for Hibs fans travelling from the city centre is Abbey Street (Abbey Street Luas stop) or Jervis Street (Jervis Luas stop). Both tram stops are a 5-minute walk from the fanzone.
The front of tram will have Tallaght or Tamhlacht (Irish spelling). Tallaght is the final stop on this line. The tram runs every 10 minutes.
The overall travel time from the centre of Dublin to the stadium will take approximately 45-50 minutes. Travel times can vary depending on the time of day.
Fans can buy tickets with card/cash at the tram stops or purchase a travel Leap Card. Trams will be available post-match to take supporters back into the city centre.
BUSES
Please be aware that buses in Ireland only take cash or Travel Leap Cards. The bus services that run to Tallaght stadium include; 27, 49, 54A, 56A, 77A.
The 27 bus (to Jobstown) stops near the stadium and the nearest stop is College Green, a 5-minute walk from the Fanzone.
Richie Carroll, Shamrock Rovers SLO suggested: “If you are in Dublin for a number of days and plan to use public transport. Buy a 3-day Leap Card which will cover travel within Dublin area on all transport networks.”
If fans travel by Taxi/Uber, the cost from city centre to Tallaght would be roughly €25-40 (traffic depending).

Tickets to Hibs supporters are being sold in advance by Hibernian FC. Tickets are available online through the Club’s Ticketing platform here.
With the game kicking off at 8pm, turnstiles will open at 7pm and fans are advised to arrive early to avoid any queues at the turnstiles.
If you require a match ticket for away section and haven’t bought beforehand, you will need to head to the Shamrock Rover ticket office beside gate 4.
Gate 1 is the entrance point for all away fans. The full East Stand, sections 301 to 307, are designated the away section for Hibernian supporters. Any Hibs fans found in home sections will be removed without refund.
Hot food and soft drinks are available inside the ground. Cash and cards are accepted. Toilets can be found at back of the stand.
Wheelchair bays are available at the front of the away section. Please contact any steward on the night and they will assist you in any way possible.
Fans should expect physical searches before entry.
The match will be available to watch via a pay-per-view service via the League of Ireland TV.
