Scottish-born manager, David Moyes, brings his Everton side to Edinburgh in August for a pre-season challenge with another Premiership club, Newcastle United.
The high-profile fixture at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium is on Wednesday 12 August, kick-off 5.15pm (BST), as both clubs step-up their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
Neither club has ever played at the iconic 101-year-old stadium and the fixture marks while the first summer friendly between Everton and Newcastle since the Barcelona Cup Final of 1924, won by the Merseyside club at Barcelona’s Camp de Les Corts – the predecessor to Camp Nou.
Pre-sale tickets are available to Everton Season Ticket+ Members, Season Ticket, Premium and Forever Blue+ Members, before going on general sale from 10am on Tuesday 2 June via Ticketmaster. Tickets start from £35 for adults and £17 for under-16s, plus booking fees.
Supporters who are not eligible for the exclusive pre-sale window are encouraged to register their interest now to receive the latest updates and be notified when tickets become available.
Murrayfield has a capacity of 67,130 and is the largest stadium in Scotland and one of the UK’s most recognisable sporting venues.
Originally opened in 1925, the stadium has staged generations of major rugby internationals, landmark sporting occasions, world-class live events and some of the biggest crowds in Scottish sporting history.
Everton, of course, also has a long and proud connection with Scotland, from the many Scottish players and managers who have represented the club with distinction to generations of supporters who have followed the Blues from north of the border.
One of them was former Hearts forward Alex Young who won titles with both clubs and former Jambos striker, John Robertson, one wore the colours of Newcastle United.

Pre-sale has opened for Newcastle United Season Ticket Holders and Members. and on Monday 1 June (10am) pre-sale opens for fans who registered for priority access.. Tuesday 2 June (10am) is when the general sale opens via Ticketmaster.
