Edinburgh Accies, newly promoted back into the Scottish Rugby Premiership, have made a series of coaching appointments calculated to ensure they hit the ground running next season.
At the heart of these appointments is Michael Todd (pictured_ who will leave his post as defensive guru with Edinburgh Rugby at the end of the season as part of a back room shake-up to take up a role as Head Coach at Raeburn Place.
Accies Director of Rugby Graham Bonner says: ” Michael brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked with
Edinburgh Rugby, Queensland Reds, Munster and Australia A.”
Providing back up is former Scotland prop Simon Berghan who takes on the forwards coach role while current Edinbufrh scrum half; Charlie Shiel has been appointed backs and attack coach.
Completing the line-up are Jamie Sole (Defence Coach) and George Hamilton (2)nd XV head coach).
Meanwhile Accies have made a solid start to the seven-a-side circuit with wins at both the Gala and Langholm tournaments in the Borders. It was their first win at Langholm for 97 years last weekend and Accies will be hoping to maintain such form all the way through to their own tournament – last leg of the prestigious “Kings of the Sevens” circuit at Raeburn Place on 30 May.
