Police in Edinburgh have recovered a significant quantity of property, believed to be the proceeds of theft.
Acting on information provided by the public, officers from the Edinburgh Retail Crime Taskforce, Central Initiative Team and Licensing Department carried out stolen property searches at two stores in Edinburgh this week.
The intelligence supplied by the public allowed police to seize a significant amount of suspected stolen property from each premises.

Coffee, detergents, alcohol, beauty products and confectionary were amongst the items recovered with some items displaying security tags from other stores.
A police spokesperson said: “Shoplifting is not a victimless crime and Police Scotland will act on any information you provide and the Retail Crime Taskforce dedicated to tackling retail crime in Edinburgh.
