Seven teenagers, including six females have been arrested and charged following an attack on a 38-year-old man in Wester Hailes.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of a man having been assaulted on Clovenstone Gardens around 10.20pm on Sunday 8 March 2026.
Police officers attended and later confirmed that six females, aged 15, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 18 and one 15-year-old male were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20pm on Sunday, 8 March, 2026, we were called to a report of a man assaulted in the Clovenstone Gardens area of Edinburgh.
“Officers attended and the 38-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment then later released.
“Six females aged, 15, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 18 and one 15-year-old male were arrested and charged in connection.
“A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.”
