Riders taking part in Doddie’s Triple Crown 2026 set off from Murrayfield Stadium arriving in Melrose on Monday evening ahead of beginning the challenge on Tuesday.
All will now take part in the 750-mile charity cycling challenge from Scotland to England, Wales and Ireland all in aid of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Former Scotland captain Rob Wainwright, OBE, is the ride organiser and he is carrying the match ball.

The teams will arrive in Dublin on Friday 13 March to deliver the match ball ahead of Scotland’s Six Nations match against Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.
The route will take them from Greenyards, Melrose on Tuesday to Headingley Stadium in Leeds. On Wednesday the teams depart Headingley at 6am to arrive at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester that evening. Then on Thursday the route runs from Gloucester to Pembroke and on Friday from Rosslare to Dublin.
