Lochend football academy have once again excelled on the youth stage by reaching two national cup finals with separate teams.
The under-14s, fresh from defeating Bonnyton 2-1, will play Giffnock in their final.
The under-16s, who travelled to Broughty Ferry and overcame Dundee United 3-0, can look forward to facing Kilwinning Rangers.
Both finals will take place at Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld, on Sunday, 26 April.
Ian Fergus, Head of Coaching and holder of both a UEFA A licence and UEFA A elite Youth licence, says: “This is the second time in Lochend Academy’s history we have had two teams in the final of their national cup in a single season.
“In season 2023-24 we had our under-15s as winners while the under-14s finished runners up.”
“In the past four seasons we have had six teams in the semi-finals and four teams in finals. It’s absolutely remarkable for one of Edinburgh’s smallest community clubs.
“Things continue to go from strength to strength.”
