Hearts young striker, James Wilson, is on the move to a major London-based Premiership club.
Arsenal were in touch with the Gorgie club about the teenage prospect over the weekend, eyeing a six-month trial.
Then Tottenham Hotspur moved in for the 18-year-old who already has one Scotland cap.
The former pupil of Balerno High School is set to join Spurs in a loan deal which includes an option to buy at the end of the season.
He has scored eight goals for the Capital combine but his game-time has been limited this season as Hearts have been riding high at the top of the William Hill Premiership.
Derek McInnes, Hearts’ head coach, said that it is tough to get into the current team but told Sky Sports: “Would we see the benefit of a loan? Yes, to get some minutes.”
Hearts confirmed the move on X and said: “James Wilson has completed a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.
“The terms of the loan include an option to buy for an undisclosed fee.”
