Flop into a bean bag on the floor at the McEwan Hall for the best half hour you will spend today.
Listen to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons while being immersed in a projection which traverses across the interior of the Hall – around the arches and decorative ceiling – taking you completely away from it all.
The journey portrays the seasons with changes in the music and the choreographed images, with the pace altering according to the tempo of the music. It is only half an hour but it is a great way to get away from your own technology to enjoy this living canvas.
The Swiss company PROJEKTIL is staging the light and sound show in Edinburgh which will run until 15 March 2026.
Top tip – make sure you arrange the bean bag to support your head while you watch what unfolds – and although it is billed as a dreamlike experience, try not to miss any of it by nodding off.
