Hearts and Celtic shared four goals at Tynecastle in an entertaining contest which really came alive in the second-half, but the war of words continues.
The big talking point was the sending-off of 27-year-old, American defender, Trusty for a tackle on Kabore after 77 minutes. It was alleged it had an impact on the result.
However, the tale of the tape first. Nygren opened the scoring after seven minutes from a pin-point free-kick and Findlay headed Hearts level after 48.
Yang scored Celtic’s second after 62 minutes and Braga levelled three minutes from time.
A packed crowd of 18,859 watched along with a national TV audience and Derek McInnes, Hearts’ head coach, felt his men were the better team on chances created and overall territory.
He added: “We are a wee bit disappointed we did not take all three points. Most teams would have been happy with a point against a team like Celtic, but we rattled them.”
His counterpart, Martin O’Neill, argued that Trusty’s dismissal was not a red card, but it played a massive part in the outcome.
O’Neill told BBC Sport Scotland: “Hearts are up there in the league because they are a very fine side, but we fought magnificently again.”
A glance at the 12-strong league table sees Hearts on 51 points. Rangers have 47 after eclipsing Dundee 3-0 at Ibrox, and third-placed Celtic have 45. All have played 23 fixtures.
So, what next? Hearts visit Dundee United in the William Hill Premiership on Saturday while Celtic host Utrecht in the Europa League on Thursday (20.00) before they entertain Falkirk in the league on Saturday (15.00).
DRIVING FORCE: Callum McGregor, Celtic’s captain, who was in the thick of the action at Tynecastle.
