Stephanie Kernachan, of Falkirk Phoenix boxing club, was the star of Leith Victoria’s annual show in the Gorgie Suite, Tynecastle Park.
Commonwealth Games star Stephanie outpointed English Games counterpart Nancy Shepherd, a six times national champion south of the border, who had travelled from the Kent Gloves club to participate.
A total of 11 bouts filled the card with Victoria hopefuls Leon Brown, Roberto Garcia, Ben Wilkies and Andrew McKenzie participatin while colleague Oliver Woznviak boxed an exhibition due to weight differential.
Scottish representatives on the bill came from as far afield as Elgin, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Kirkintilloch and Lochee with the Coppola club, in the Gyle area of Edinburgh, particularly supportive.
