Pitt Strength, a strength and conditioning gym based at West Shore Road as part of the £1.3 billion Granton regeneration programme are offering a unique way to welcome in 2026.

Owner and head coach Bob Neillings is hosting a New Year’s Eve workout starting at 11pm on 31 December and running into the opening minutes of 2026.

Tickets are free but intending participants must register via DM on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pitt_strength/

Described as a first-of-its-kind session, it is designed to bring together gym-goers, friends, and strength enthusiasts to close the year on a powerful, positive note, and welcome the new one with the community.

To be called “Midnight Mayhem” the session will be conducted by Pitt Strength’s expert coaches and will be open to all levels whether a regular lifter or someone looking for a fun, communal way to start the year strong.

Although designed to be high-energy but inclusive, participants can scale exercises, rest when needed, and work at their own pace.

There will also be a strong emphasis on a social approach and after the workout, attendees will be invited to toast together at the bells, turning fitness into celebration.

“Hogmanay is traditionally about reflection and celebration, but it’s rare to see it tied directly to fitness and strength,” says Bob Neillings, adding: “We wanted to give our community a meaningful way to finish the year by pushing themselves, surrounded by like-minded people, and start the next year by standing strong, together.”
