Firearms officers were called to a street in Tranent yesterday Sunday 30 November 2025 following reports of a man believed to be in possession of a weapon.
The incident took place on Coronation Court near Elphinstone Road around 1.20pm.
Firearms officers attended the scene alongside local officers.
Following the incident, a 57-year-old man and 46-year-old man were arrested.
Officers said that their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.20pm on Sunday, 30 November, 2025, we received a report of a man believed to be in a possession of a weapon in Coronation Court, Tranent.
“Firearms officers, along with local officers attended.
“Two men aged 57 and 46 have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
