Livingston MP, Gregor Poynton visited the Constituency Garden of Remembrance at Westminster this week.
The garden is a symbol of the courage and sacrifice of those who serve in the armed forces. Mr Poynton dedicated a stake in their honour, paying tribute to those who have served and those who are in the armed forces today.
He said: “Remembrance is a deeply moving time of year. It allows us to recognise the extraordinary bravery of those who gave their lives so we can live in peace and freedom.
“I was truly honoured to represent the Livingston constituency at the Constituency Garden of Remembrance. While there, I dedicated a stake in tribute to all those who served and continue to serve, and in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
“The stories of courage and resilience shown by those who served in our Armed Forces are woven into the fabric of our national history. We owe them, and their families, a debt that can never truly be repaid. But through remembrance, we ensure that their legacy endures.
“Here in the Livingston Constituency, we have a proud history of service and sacrifice, and I want to thank all local veterans, service personnel, and their families for their continued strength, dignity, and contribution to our community.”
