A 40-year-old female pedestrian has been taken to hospital by ambulance after a crash in the Shandon area this morning Friday 28 November 2025.
Emergency services including police, two ambulances and a rapid response unit were called to the scene on Ashley Terrace shortly after 9am.
The road was closed for some time to facilitate the investigation.
The injured party was taken to the New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Officers said that their enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20am on Friday, 28 November, 2025, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and pedestrian on Ashley Terrace, Edinburgh.
“The pedestrian, a 40-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ““We received a call at 0913 hours on Friday to attend an incident on Ashley Terrace in Edinburgh.
“We dispatched two ambulances and a rapid response unit to the scene. We transported one female patient to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
