Murrayfield Dafs cricket club bounced back from the disappointment of losing the annual Parks Trophy final last week to lift the Terry Newcombe Memorial Trophy with victory over holders Inch Park at Newfield by 46 runs in an 18 overs-a-side contest.
Roseburn Park-based Murrayfield Dafs made 135 for 5 with man of the match Lewis Mulholland hitting 76 backed by important contributions from skipper Andy Smith and Nizak Hotak in the long established midweek competition finale.
Frank Omozejele took 2 for 13 as Inch Park made 89 for 9 blown away by Matt Stevens who took 5 for 26 with James Gutteridge, Nizak Hotak, Tom Ritch and Alex Willis also taking wickets. George O’Neill top scored for Inch Park with 23.
