With over 18,500 Hibs fans expected at Easter Road tonight, supporters are asked to note the following information.
Hibs face FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round second leg fixture on Thursday 31st July, kick-off 8pm.
With the game kicking off at 8pm, turnstiles will open at 7pm. Fans are advised to arrive early to avoid any queues at the turnstiles.
Tickets for the match are now sold out. Anyone without a ticket should not travel to the stadium to avoid disappointment.
Entry through the turnstiles will close shortly after half-time.
Home supporters are asked to enter the South stand Lower Tier via the East access gates.
Those in the Upper Tier can access via Turnstiles 7 and 8 from Albion Road or via the away supporter search lanes and in through Turnstiles 1 and 2.
There are several roadworks across the city that may impact travel to Easter Road. Fans are advised to give ample travel time for their journey.
It should also be noted that there are temporary roadworks in place on Great Junction Street and Abbeyhill, this route to the stadium will add around 20 minutes onto the journey time.
Easter Road, London Road, Leith Street and the Leith Walk area are expected to be congested with the usual matchday traffic.
The Trams will be operating at 7-minute intervals to Leith. The best stops for the stadium on Leith Walk are McDonald Road and Balfour Street.
The club is also asking fans to think about their actions, before, during and after the match.
All supporters are reminded that unacceptable conduct will not be tolerated, anyone caught in possession of pyrotechnics, throwing objects, causing damage, entering the trackside or field of play, or bringing in bottles/cans into the stadium can expect action to be taken.
The Club will continue to support the actions of Police Scotland and the courts in acting against anyone detected carrying out a breach of the Ground Regulations or being involved in unacceptable conduct.
Regardless, if we are home or away, sanctions against any breach may result in the individual facing an indefinite Club Ban, a Football Banning Order or, as we have seen elsewhere recently, a custodial sentence.
Walkways should be kept clear, and if seated in the stand fans are asked to take up your designated seat while watching the match. This is not only a ground regulations requirement but also in the interest of the safety of all members of the public.
Football is a place where families come together to support their team and Hibernian Football Club prides itself in being a club for everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, colour, gender, religion, creed or sexual orientation.
Finally, fans should listen to and follow instructions given by Police Scotland, stewards and club officials over the PA System, before, during and after the match.
The Easter Road lightshow takes place before selected domestic games and when the Hibees score.
In the summer of 2024, Hibernian Football Club made a major investment to enhance supporters’ experience within the stadium. These improvements included a full upgrade of the stadium floodlights.
The health and safety of supporters is paramount to Hibernian Football Club and they have consulted industry specialists prior to installing the lights to ensure they conform to all accepted standards.
The lightshows will not contain any light sequences of unusual frequencies that would raise concerns about photosensitivity among the general public.
The shows all adhere to the strict guidelines for lightshows and broadcast media. They have been used in other stadia without adverse effect and have been approved for use in a public setting.
Although the club has gone to great lengths to ensure the shows are safe for all to enjoy, they would still advise any supporter who may find such lightshows uncomfortable to consider whether it is best for them to avoid being in the main stadium bowl during any show.
In this regard, appropriate notice and details will always be given ahead of any lightshows on the club website supporter match day information page and through social media channels.
