The VMH Solicitors East of Scotland tennis leagues stretch from East Lothian to Fife and one team which prevailed in the face of plenty travelling were Kirkcaldy 4 ladies who topped Division 9b.
All captain Ann Ferguson’s opponents were Edinburgh based and after slipping up at Merchiston 4 first time out they overcame home and away challenges from Balerno, Abercorn 3 and Grange 4 as well as avenging their opening defeat.
Top individual performance came from Samantha Harris (10 sets won, 2 lost) while Rosa McCormack, while playing fewer matches, was undefeated in any set (6-0).
