Meadows City tennis club ladies 1st team will play in Division One of the VMH Solicitors East Leagues for the first time next season.
Captained by Zuzanna Stepnicka, Meadows actually finished runners-up to Braid 2nds by a couple of points in Division Two with Barnton Park, Dunfermline, Lomond Park and David Lloyd Corstorphine also featuring in the league.
But, because clubs cannot have two teams in the same league, Meadows leapfrogged their south Edinburgh rivals to take the promotion.
