BSN Series: Edinburgh Stellar Monarchs 50, Glasgow Allied Vehicles Tigers 39 (agg: 95-84)

Edinburgh Stellar Monarchs came from behind to edge arch rivals Glasgow Tigers and claim a place in the semi-final of the BSN Series thanks to a 14 points from captain Paco Castagna (pictured) who won four of his five heats.

The Armadale combine were 7-5 adrift after the second race but surged back with 14 points to 4 in heats three, four and five.

Five heats were drawn 3-3 before Tigers edged Heat 11. The sides drew the next race but Monarchs stamped their authority with a 5-1 in Heat 13 for a 44-33 lead.

The penultimate race was drawn 3-3 but Monarchs were home and dry with the aggregate victory and the home side closed out the meeting on a high with a win for skipper Castagna in Heat 15.
