Almost £3,000 was raised by Edinburgh South’s under-10 footballers as they sought to raise both a tour fund and Bethany Christian Trust’s efforts to alleviate homelessness.
The money will be split evenly with the boys, who each dribbled a football for 5k around a pitch, and who are looking forward to visiting Majorca in October.
All the participants, cheered on by around 30 parents and Bethany Christian Trust’s Hannah Nelson, received a medal for their efforts.
Afterwards the team coaches performed a celebratory lap before being soaked by the players brandishing water bottles.
