The Bass Rock Shore Angling League are back in business on Wednesday, September 23, when they host the second in their Winter Series, this time at North Berwick.

The harbour area is the location and registration is at 6.15pm with fishing from 7pm to 10pm.

There are prizes for the heaviest fish and heaviest bag and chairman Craig Ogilvie extends a welcome anybody who would like to join in.

He asks that only sizeable fish are brought to the scales.

Meanwhile, John Perella landed 10lbs 14ozs to win the penultimate round of the Edinburgh and Lothians Coarse Angling Club’s Summer Series held at Orchill near Auchterarder.

Stewart Ritchie was second with 7lbs 3oz and Tony Ball third only one ounce behind.

Bill Hamilton edged out Heather Lauriston to make the final of the Knockout Cup and he will be joined by Darrin Ferguson (pictured) who defeated Nigel Duncan.
