Police are growing increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of a man who has been missing from Broxburn since Monday 3 August 2020.

Shaun Watson, 39, who also goes by the surname Payne and sometimes spells his first name as Shawn, was last seen on Church Street, Broxburn, between 10am and 11am on Monday morning.

Potential sightings of Shaun have been noted in the Eyemouth and Berwick Upon Tweed areas.

He is described as white, between 5′ 8″ and 5′ 10″ in height, with a medium build and dark hair, which may have been dyed a different colour. When last seen, he was wearing cream coloured shorts, a white t-shirt, a black body warmer and cream or white training shoes. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Officers are continuing to check CCTV footage and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant David Rourke of Galashiels Police Station, said: “It has been nearly a fortnight since Shaun was reported missing and his family and friends are extremely worried about him. They are asking him to please get in touch with someone to let them know he is ok.

“He sometimes speaks in an American accent and uses different names and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen Shaun, or who knows of his whereabouts, to come forward.

“Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0996 of 4 August, 2020.”
