Hibs have released a new third kit – which is a tribute to some of the supporters who have given so generously to fans group ‘Hibernian Supporters.’ (HS)
Since the club update on June 15 that addressed some of the short-term obstacles that Hibs were facing, Hibernian Supporters have been backed by nearly 1000 new or refreshed supporter pledges.
Last month, HS confirmed receipt of £24,429.11 – the largest monthly donation received in the last year from the group.
Every individual donation, alongside the countless other acts from supporters of late has helped strengthen the club and allow Hibs to act with confidence in signing three new players with real pedigree.
Hibernian Supporters continues to grow and go from strength to strength and the club are proud that they will be represented in their new third kit, which is available to pre-order now.
Members who joined before the cut-off point of October 21, 2019 will find their names woven in and around the famous crest.
Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: “We are all indebted to our supporters and not least those who have backed Hibernian Supporters – since its inception and in recent times.
“The regular, increasing payments from Hibernian Supporters will enable us to emerge from the other side of what has been an uncertain period in as strong a position as we can be. I have said it often enough that we are humbled if not surprised by the level of support.
“Hibernian supporters have demonstrated time and time again not just what their club means to them, but that they will do whatever it takes to play their part.
“We liked the idea of the shirt as one opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’. Quite simply, it will be worn with pride.”
Hibernian Supporters are the second largest shareholders in Hibernian Football Club – made up of everyday supporters who, in most cases, are making small, monthly donations that help steel the club for whatever is thrown at us and help fuel sporting ambition.
Please note, the new third kit will be made to order and will not be available in the Clubstore. The order window will close on Friday 6 August and the shirts will be delivered in early October.
Only fully paid members of Hibernian Supporters as of October 21, 2019 will have their name on the shirt and a list of those included was issued by Hibernian Supporters on June 12, 2020.
